An Angel in our Midst:
A Story that will Warm Your Heart
During our Country Club "Clash of the Titans - Ford vs. GM" sale, we had an unexpected customer walk onto the lot, someone whose generosity and kind heart would touch the lives of everyone here at Steve Marshall Ford.
This person, who wishes to remain anonymous, came to the sale with a certified cheque in their hand and wanted to purchase a pre-owned van. This person negotiated the price and was ready to write up the contract...but this van wasn't for themselves and it wasn't for a family member.
This customer purchased this van for a young couple that they knew who had just had a baby and whose vehicle was unsafe and barely running.
These were obviously great people with unfortunate circumstances - and our customer had two conditions:
1) The new owners couldn't know who bought the van for them.
2) They couldn't know how much this person paid.
When our Business Manager, Rob Bulloch, phoned this young couple's house to tell them the good news, their mother-in-law was there to answer the call. When she found out why we were phoning, she had the couple paged where they were shopping! When the couple got to the dealership and sat down with Rob, they were shocked.
The most amazing part is that there was no catch, no conditions and no expectations - this was a true kind act done by one person for another.
We at Steve Marshall Ford were all touched by the kindness of this story and wanted to, one way or another, show our recognition of this customer and what they did that day.
On behalf of this anonymous kind-hearted customer, Steve Marshall Ford is donating a cheque for $500.00 to the Crisis Pregnancy Center of Nanaimo Society.
