2019 Ford Ranger Coming

2019 Ford Ranger

It is probably one of the most anticipated vehicle comebacks that Ford has ever had. Even though the Ranger has been available in the European and Asian Markets it has been some time since the Ranger has been available in Canada and this anticipated return will happen early in 2019.

We may have to wait to get one here, but there has been information on what we can expect the Ranger to have and what options will be available.

Engine

There was a joke where Henry Ford said, “You can have the Model T in any colour you want as long as it is black.” With the Ranger you will have more colour options, but for the engine you can have any one you want as long as it is the 2.3L Ecoboost.

This decision is understandable as the 2.3L Ecoboost has earned an impressive reputation powering everything from the Mustang to the Explorer and it will be paired with a ten speed automatic transmission. Ford has not released stats of what the torque and horsepower will be, but in the Mustang it produces 310 Horsepower and 350 ft-lb of torque, which is close to what the Tacoma, 278 HP and 265 ft-lb torque, and the Colorado and Canyon, 308 HP and 275 ft-lb torque, have available. Currently the Colorado has best in class Horsepower, but that could very well change in 2019.
