Thanks to PickupTrucks.com we are able to see parts of the new Diesel Engine for the F-150 trucks. By 2011 it is expected to be the base diesel ening in the Super Duty trucks and the 4.4-liter V-8 should be offered in F-150s by late 2009.
Power ratings are expected to be at least 340 horsepower and 430 pounds-feet of torque. Fuel economy is expected to be as much as 20 percent higher than Ford’s 5.4-liter V-8 gasoline engine.
PickupTrucks.com thinks we’ll see the official debut at the 2009 Chicago Auto Show.
