Give & Go in Nanaimo is to be held Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 3851 Shenton Road.
This is the second year for this event at a NEW LOCATION! Thanks to the hundreds of volunteers, donators and community members we achieved success during our 1st-annual Give & Go helping fill the annual Hamperville Christmas Hamper program, sponsored by the Salvation Army and the Loaves & Fishes food bank.
Our community donated 1634 kg of food valued at $8,987 and raised $2,800 in cash donations. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for choosing to be a part of this experience. The Give & Go has been an annual tradition since 2002.
The drive-thru donations and fun family affair offer an easy way to make a difference,
All you need to do is gather up your donations and drive through our location, volunteers will unload for you! There will also be hot chocolate, coffee, live music provided by the Tidesmen A Capella Chorus and BBQ by donation.
There is a significant need in the community for assistance at Christmas time, the Give & Go team encourages people to drive-thru and “Give & Go” on December 6 with non-perishable food, money and warm clothing like jackets, socks and toques.
The owner of Steve Marshall Ford Lincoln, Ann Marie Clark, said “Last year was exciting, seeing the donations literally pile up was heartwarming.
